A large antique Victorian 9ct yellow gold locket with fabulous engraving throughout.
The front has a blank cartouche in the centre, with two forget me not flowers underneath. It is very nicely made with beautiful detailing.
The inside has two inserts present with plastic panels and can be removed to add pictures or other keepsakes of your loved ones.

Marked on the back for '9ct back & front'. This means the front and back panels are solid 9ct gold. This was common during the Victorian and Edwardian periods to help strengthen and keep its structural integrity by incorporating a stronger base metal in the frame.
